The Vox Super-Lynx series testifies to the in-depth cooperation established between Eko and Crucianelli in the second half of the 60’s.

The neck is a joint product. Headstock and fretboard are 100% Crucianelli but Eko rules over the rear side (five-piece construction, volute, trapeze neck attachment plate). Natural finished back and truss-rod adjustment from body side are Eko standards of that era.

Body shape leans towards Eko, as confirmed by the (too) wide f-holes. It’s virtually an Eko 290/Barracuda body. Some details hint that it could have been made in the Crucianelli factory, but at any rate the finishing was made at Eko. The Recanati plant delighted at that time in spraying dramatic three-tone sunburst finishes that really burst. That cannot be confused with the smoother shades used by Crucianelli.

The machineheads have cool buttons but are based on the cheap items fittted on the 500, 700 as well as most of the Cobras. Bridge is from Eko, which doesn't mean either an advance in quality compared with the 100% Crucianelli-made former Lynx range.

The single-coil pickups have white plastic casings like most of contemporary Eko electrics, albeit much narrower. The wider-than-normal polepieces are the same though. The sound too.

Crucianelli features are concentrated on the lower part of the body. First of all the Bigsgy-inspired tremolo device. The (fake) rosewood insert is designed with straight sides and sharper angles and has a Vox logo, other than that no difference. Aluminium knobs are purely Crucianelli and are positioned exactly like on all Crucianelli 335 style models (on Eko 335 type guitars they were previously distributed of both sides of the f-hole, then aligned along body edge).

La serie Super-Lynx è la testimonianza della stretta cooperazione instauratasi tra Eko e Crucianelli nella seconda metà degli anni sessanta.

Il manico è una coproduzione. Paletta e tastiera sono al 100% Crucianelli, ma è Eko che comanda sul lato posteriore (costruzione a cinque pezzi, piastra del manico a trapezio). Il retro verniciato naturale e la regolazione del manico dalla parte del corpo sono conformi alle norme Eko del tempo. La sagoma del corpo pende dalla parte di Eko, come viene confermato dalle (troppo) larghe buche a effe. È in pratica il corpo di una 290/Barracuda. Certi dettagli fanno pensare che potrebbe esser prodotto nell’officina Crucianelli, ma la finitura è certamente Eko. La fabbrica di Recanati si compiaceva nel fare dei 3-tone sunburst molto contrastati, veramente esplosivi. Nessuna confusione è possibile con le finiture ben più sfumate di Crucianelli.

Cool i bottoni delle chiavette. Ma sono basate sulle meccaniche economiche delle serie 500, 700 e la maggioranza delle Cobra. Il ponte è Eko, il che non implica necessariamente un progresso nella qualità rispetto alle versione Lynx 100% Crucianelli.

I pickups ad avvolgimento singolo sono inscatolati in plastica bianca come la maggiore parte delle elettriche contemporanee di Eko, ma risultano più stretti. I magneti più larghi del normale sono però uguali. Con lo stesso suono.

Gli elementi Crucianelli si concentrano sulla parte inferiore del corpo. Inanzitutto il vibrato tipo Bigsby. L’inserto di palissandro (imitato) è disegnato con lati rettilinei e angoli più accentuati, porta un logo Vox, l'unica differenza. Le manopole di alluminio sono tipicamente Crucianelli, e sono poste esattamente come su tutte le chitarre tipo 335 di Crucianelli (su quelle di Eko erano prima distribuite su entrambi i lati della buca a effe, poi furono allineate lungo il bordo della cassa).
