A Crucianelli in wonderful shape with a rare natural blonde finish, gold hardware and white pickguard (by the way, we have a matching example in the florentine gallery, albeit with a Tonemaster logo).

The name Crucianelli (until further notice) appears only on the second generation of this model, i.e. the one made in 1965 with all of the following features:

• two humbuckers
• metal truss-rod plate
• large MOP fretboard inlays
• Bigsby copy with a one-piece triangular insert of (fake) rosewood, the upper side of the triangle being softly curved inwards.

The main problem with the logo Crucianelli is that no one outside of Italy (except for accordion freaks) is able to read it. It is generally understood as 'Cruciunello' or 'Crucionella' -- in best cases. Equally flimsy are the main other brands. 'Élite' is hopelessly common -- every electric guitar brand has or had a 'Élite' series in its range), 'Tonemaster' is confused with a homonymous historic maker of Hawaian lapsteel guitars and furthermore obscured by a famous Fender range of amplifiers, while 'Panaramic' sounds like a wrong spelling. Hence an identity crisis we do our best to heal with these pages...

Una meravigliosa Crucianelli in condizioni perfette, una rara bionda naturale con hardware dorato e battipenna bianco (a proposito, c'è un esempio corrispondente nella galleria delle fiorentine ma con il logo Tonemaster).

Il nome Crucianelli (fino ad avviso ulteriore) si vede solo sulla seconda generazione di questo modello, altrimenti detto quella fatta nel 1965 che condivide tutte queste caratteristiche:

• due humbuckers
• piastra del truss-rod metallica
• grandi segnaposizioni di madreperla
• vibrato tipo Bigsby con un inserto triangolare di (finto) palissandro, il lato superiore del triangolo dolcemente incurvato verso l'interno.

Il grande problema con il logo Crucianelli è che fuori dell'Italia nessuno (eccettuati i fanatici della fisarmonica) riesce a leggerlo. Viene interpretato come 'Cruciunello' o 'Crucionella' -- nei più favorevoli dei casi. Altrettanto inconsistenti sono i principali altri brands. 'Élite' è disperatamente diffuso-- ogni costruttore di chitarre elettriche ha (avuto) una serie 'Élite' nella sua offerta. Tonemaster è sempre confuso con un produtore storico di chitarre hawaiane, è inoltre soffocato sotto la celebrità di una serie di amplificatori di Fender, mentre 'Panaramic' sembra un errore ortografico. Quindi una crisi di identità che ci sforziamo di curare con le presenti pagine...
