Another early Crucianelli solid body from Mr Fisicaro's fabulous collection. All original, like new, nothing missing. Congratulations Ugo!

There's still a glued-in neck. Zero-fret still there. Squared off fretboard end. Pickups like those of the whole first generation of this model except that stamping out of the polepiece holes has been omitted. Though extremely rare, this configuration is by no means prototype. The mother-of-pearl Tonemaster 20 shown hereunder displays all the same features, including the small aluminium knobs.

On the other hand, this Crucianelli is the only one we've seen so far under this "Carino" brand. The ovale shaped nameplate looks like being factory made, which suggests the name had been introduced as a possible alternative to the "Élite" house brand. Using several brands at the same time for one model allowed to keep several distributors in the illusion they all were the exclusive one. In Castelfidardo the trick had been used for many years with accordions, why not for guitars after all?

Il manico è ancora incollato. Tasto zero ancora presente. Tastiera con estremità quadrata. Pickups simili a quelli di tutta la prima generazione di questo modello, salvo che non sono stati imbottiti i buchi che normalmente lasciano a vista i due magneti. Benché rarissima, questa configurazione non è meramente prototipale. La Tonemaster 20 perlinata mostrata più sotto dimostra tutte le stesse caratteristiche, anche le piccole manopole in alluminio.

D'altra parte, questa Crucianelli è l'unica finora che abbiamo visto con questo marchio "Carino". La forma ovale della piastra suggerisce che venne incollata in fabbrica e che questo nome era stato introdotto come possibile alternativa a "Élite". La molteplicità dei brands dava la possibiltà di mantenere più distributori nell'illusione che ciascuno avesse l'esclusiva per lo stesso modello. Da anni si procedeva così a Castelfidardo con le fisarmoniche, allora perché non con le chitarre?
