The cleanest guitar in the gallery. Near mint (some doubt remains about originality of knobs). There is even the elusive bridge cover. This immaculate Elite opens a new chapter in the model’s story with it’s new peghead and neck.

Compared to previous versions headstock has been thoroughly redesigned. Its profile shows an angle it didn't have before and makes it look closely like an Eko 500 peghead (in my opinion the earlier shape was nicer but that’s just me). On the other hand another Eko -inspired feature disappears, the volute on the back.

The conspicuous chrome truss-rod plate identifies this version at first glance. The new lightweight neck is a three-piece construction with an improved ovale profile. There is documentary evidence that this configuration was commercially available in mid-1964. Some sources suggest it was already in production during Autumn 1963. Let’s assume this is the 1964 version. It remained unchanged for about one year.

La meglio conservata della galleria. Near mint (ancora qualche dubbio sull’originalità delle manopole). C'è anche l'introvabile copriponte. Questa immacolata Elite apre un nuovo capitolo nella storia del modello con la paletta e il manico nuovi.

Confrontata con le versioni precedenti la paletta è stata totalmente ridisegnata. Il suo profilo mostra un angolo che non c’era prima e che la fa assomigliare molto a quella delle Eko 500 (il disegno precedente aveva più fascino ma è solo la mia opinione). Invece, una delle caratteristiche ispirate dalle Eko sparisce, la voluta sul retro. L'evidente piastra cromata della barra tendi-manico identifica questa versione alla prima occhiata. Il nuovo manico, più leggero, è del tipo a tre pezzi e presenta un profilo ovale migliorato.

La disponibiltà commerciale di questa configurazione è documentata a partire dalla metà del 1964. Certe fonti suggeriscono che fosse già in produzione durante l’autunno del 1963. Consideriamola comunque come la versione 1964. È rimasta invariata per circa un anno.
