"Plywood body. Many chips in the sunburst finish.Good neck with flat frets and attractive white binding. Very nicely set into the body. Pickups are weak, noisy and microphonic, but the neck pickup has a very mellow, dark sound that I like and can't get on any other guitar. Smooth rhythm guitar. Bridge pickup has unusual treble sound as well, but useful as a gimmicky rhythm only.

Crappy bigsby-type tremolo does NOTHING puts the strings out of tune if you only LOOK at it! This has been removed (but safely stored) and the strings have been run upside down through the rocker arm to increase the angle coming off the bridge. Better tone and sustain this way. A bolt sticking out of the rocker holds it solid against the tailpiece.

Sorry the guitar isn't exactly like when I bought it (tremolo arm), but by fixing the bridge it is regularly played and that's the important thing. Intonation is out even with bridge adjustments maxxed. But good enough on lower neck for nice full chords."
