Three and four-pickup Condor guitars of the earlier generations have exactly same control layout as the 500 and 700 series. On the contrary the 820-2 is equipped with special electronics that didn't exist with previous dual pickup Eko s: each one has its own volume pot (see the thumbwheels in pickguard upper part) in addition to the general volume and tone pots, ans there is a four-position selector (1 - 2 - 1+2 - 0).

The four-pickup version has naturally more collector appeal due to the array of switches. For musicians the two-pickup configuration is the one to prefer. Alright, neck pickup is filtrated too dark and bridge pickup too trebly as usual with older Eko guitars, but with the possibility to mix both pickup with their independant volume setting you are able to precisely adjust real interesting fine hollowed tones.

Le Condor delle prime generazioni con 3 o 4 pickups hanno esattamente gli stessi controlli delle 500 e delle 700. L'elettronica del modello 820-2 invece presenta delle particolarità che non esistevano sulle precedenti chitarre Eko con 2 pickups: ognuno dispone di una regolazione indipendente del volume (le rotelle sulla parte superiore della mascherina), oltre ai potenziometri per volume e tono generale, e un selettore a 4 posizioni (1 - 2 - 1+2 - 0).

Nei collezionisti i modelli con 4 pickups suscitano naturalmente più interesse con tutti gli switches in fila ma per i musicisti la versione 2 pickups è da preferire. Il pickup al manico è troppo scuro, il pickup al ponte è filtrato troppo alto, come al solito nelle vecchie Eko, ma la possibiltà di usare i due insieme con un dosaggio preciso dei rispettivi volumi è in grado di procurare dei suoni scavati veramente interessanti.
