This Klira (for some reason the logo shows only on two- and three-pickup versions) has interesting differences with the Italian models made at the same time. Body is made of real wood, not plywood, and the pickup is a lot better. Very simple but very efficient and reliable vibrato device. The mosaic plastic coating looks wonderful but is notably thinner and more fragile than Italian finishes. From 1963 on celluloid was substituted with less attractive vinyl on that series. Note the DIN output socket: this model was primarily intended for home use with the family radio set!
Questa Klira (il logo è presente solo sulle versioni a 2 o 3 pickups) dimostra differenze interessanti con i modelli italiani contemporanei. Il corpo è fatto di legno solido, non stratificato, E il pickup è nettamente superiore. Il vibrato è semplicissimo benché molto efficiente ed affidabile. Il rivestimento di plastica in mosaico è visualmente splendido ma notevolmente più sottile e fragile delle finiture italiane. Dopo il 1963 la celluloide venne sostituita su questa serie dal vinile, ben meno seducente. Si nota l'uscita DIN: questo modello mirava sopratutto all'uso casalingho sull'impianto radio di casa!

guitar makers that used glitter celluloid finishes in the early
60's were strongly connected to the accordion industry: first
of all Hagström of Sweden, then the Italian makers as well
as a couple of East German brands (Meinel & Herold, Migma).
Given their background in classic luthiery West German didn't
want to follow the sparkle trend. The only exception was Klira
(and associated brands like Isana or Fasan), albeit only for
a short time.

nei primi anni 60 erano fortemente collegati al settore della fisarmonica:
inanzitutto Hagström in Svezia, poi gli italiani nonché
certe fabbriche in Germania orientale (Meinel & Herold, Migma).
I Tedeschi dell'Ovest, viste le loro origini nella liuteria classica,
si tenevano al di fuori della tendenza glitter. Unica eccezione
fu Klira (e marchi associati come Isana o Fasan), tuttavia solo
per un breve periodo.
