| A very special case witch I'm
looking for all (and I mean ALL) possible info about this very special
electric guitar: a Symphonie, two floating pu's. This is a terrible
guitar: made of triplex wood; floating pu's (one complete set as
used often in the late 50's or early 60's) The pu's construction
seems to be from Schaller (German pu and amp builder) because of
the typical Schaller emblem on the pu's. Each pu has a volume and
tone control and had a fixed shielded connection. The guitar has
a set neck, but how can one play with the too big body-neck connection.
Other strange things are: same tuners as on the Defil (Poland) Julia
2 violin guitar, same stoptail as on some Egmond's (Netherlands),
same overall construction as the early Egmond Super Solid 7 model.
But it seems to me that a lot of (acoustic) Symphonie's are to be
found in the Netherlands, perhaps that's their birthground?.....(LB)
