Dating Welson guitars is always a tricky job. I think that the present configuration was started in late 1963 but I cannot prove it so far. A conservative choice is to assign all instruments of this generation to the year 1964. JM

is no collection of 60’s guitars like Ugo’s. He has
seven (SEVEN!) Welson sparkle guitars, each one with unique finishes.
You dreamt of a Welson with a sparkling cherry celluloid on both
sides of the body? Too late, Ugo owns it!
