Migma, Meinel und Herold
Migma and Musima were diffferent 'Volkseigene Betriebe"
in der DDR. Musima had been making violins, mandolins and so on
— classical luthiery to put it short, just like Hoyer, Höfner
etc. Therefore their guitars look like the West German ones. On
the other hand Migma had been involved in accordions. That's the
reason why their solidbodies look like others makes with an accordion
background, i.e. Hagström and the Italians!
Do you know Meinel
& Herold? This brand used certainly same production unit as
Migma, their guitars are strangely similar. Here a photo of a Meinel
& Herold. Virtually same guitar, except for headstock shape.
