Wandré Twist triple cutaway

Eko aveva lanciato la sua 700, Crucianelli aveva la sua triplecutaway, persino Gemelli aveva detto la sua in materia di morso-di-pescecane (cosi viene chiamata in inglese la terza parte mancante). Ma che noia copiare… Quanti problemi una triple cutaway, bisognava pur modificare il battipenna e i controlli. Quanta fatica. Meglio tagliare la parte superiore di una chitarra tutto sommato tradizionale. Leggerissima, top in formica celeste, binding sottilissimo sul bordo. classico sistema manico in tre parti fino al ponte. Un solo pick-up…

Imbracciando la chitarra si capisce finalmente il senso della terza spalla mancante: è l’incavo naturale del braccio destro. Un esempio perfetto di ergonomia. Ma perché non ci aveva/ha pensato nessuno? Provare per credere. Il suono è scuro ma con un attacco molto presente. Ridottissima la variazione di tono dei controlli. La tastiera come tutte le Wandré di questo periodo é piattissima e con i tasti sottilissimi. Un lusso che ci si poteva permettere soprattutto grazie alla indeformabilità dell’alluminio. Sulle solid body con questo tipo di manico il sustain era molto maggiore e i risultati sonori sono assolutamente apprezzabili.

Tutti i particolari costruttivi suggeriscono la predisposizione per la versione a due pick-ups e il vibrato. Il coperchio dell’attaccacorde e la mascherina hanno già la traccia della pressofusione per la versione più completa e addirittura sul retro è presente l’alloggiamento della molla con il suo coperchio. Il battipenna in corrispondenza dell’attaccacorde presenta uno scivolo che favorisce il montaggio delle corde, che finezza…
